一、简要综述以往和现在研究
1.在谈及之前某种方法的时候，常常用被动语态和过去式，It 作为主语，常用动词有show、know、regard、believe、acknowledge等。例如:It was generally believed that。
2.在进行对比的时候，常用到连词来表示逻辑上的连接和前后的对比，例如not only but also、although、what’s more, while等；
对于现在的研究成果，当然是think highly of……，largely focused on……facilitate more accurate detection……；
例如：While ... technology holds much promise,the unreliability of .... is a major factor hindering large-scale deployment
- In contrast to CD8 memory T cells,CD4 memory T cells may not require the signals through commoncytokine receptor chain.
- By contrast, IL-2 signaling may playa major role in the differentiation of regulatory T cells

8.此外，在本文中常用一些程度副词也可以起到强调的作用，例如clearly, notably, accordingly, unfortunately……这些词可以表达作者的态度和肯定程度，使得本文更有说服力
三、以往工作的不足
1.在描述以往工作，需要多用连词，增加文段之间的联系以及和上文的联系：例如
- However, the factors that govern thehomeostasis of CD4+ memory cells have yet to be fully defined.
- Although molecular details of the process are poorly understood.
- Although why this subset of T cells is uniquely sensitive to IL-2 is currently unclear.
