Lesson19 Sold out
'The play may begin at any moment,' I said.
ðə pleɪ meɪ bɪˈgɪn æt ˈɛni ˈməʊmənt,' aɪ sɛd.
'It may have begun already,' Susan answered.
ɪt meɪ hæv bɪˈgʌn ɔːlˈrɛdi,' ˈsuːz(ə)n ˈɑːnsəd.
I hurried to the ticket-office. 'May I have two tickets please ?' I asked.
aɪ ˈhʌrɪd tuː ðə ˈtɪkɪt-ˈɒfɪs. meɪ aɪ hæv tuː ˈtɪkɪts pliːz ?' aɪ ɑːskt.
'I'm sorry, we've sold out,' the girl said.
aɪm ˈsɒri, wiːv səʊld aʊt,' ðə gɜːl sɛd.
'What a pity!' Susan exclaimed.
wɒt ə ˈpɪti!' ˈsuːz(ə)n ɪksˈkleɪmd.
Just then, a man hurried to the ticket-office.
ʤʌst ðɛn, ə mæn ˈhʌrɪd tuː ðə ˈtɪkɪt-ˈɒfɪs.
'Can I return these two tickets?' he asked.'Certainly,' the girl said.

I went back to the ticket-office at once.'Could I have those two tickets please ?' I asked.

/s/ (bbc音标视频con_voiceless_7)
Said /sɛd/
Answered /ˈɑːnsəd/
Office /ˈɒfɪs/
/s/和/z/
Please /pliːz/
