1. Excuse me. 对不起
   excuse [ɪkˈskjus; ɪkˈskjuz] vt. 原谅
   "Excuse me."是说话者用来表示要打扰对方的客气用语。而" I'm sorry."亦译成“对不起”或“抱歉”，但" I'm sorry."是说话者用来表示帮不上忙或未达到对方期望时的用语。
   例: A: Excuse me. Could you show me the way to the station?
   B: I'm sorry. I'm new here.
   (甲：对不起。你能否告诉我车站怎么个走法?)
   (乙：抱歉。我刚到这儿来,路不熟。)
2. Could you pass me the sugar, please?
   =Could you pass the sugar to me, please?
   (请你把糖递给我好吗?)
   pass [pæs] vt.传递
   sugar ['ʃʊgɚ] n.砂糖
   注意：
   本问句亦可说成：
   Can you pass me the sugar, please?
   但"Can you...?"有“你能不能······?”的意味，而“Could you...?”则有“您可否······?”的意味，故用Could形成的问句显然语气要客气得多。
