Part 1 中文感悟：

这周最大的收获就是每天都有看书，而且笔记一天不落地完成了。下周再接再厉。

很喜欢林语堂，所以看他的作品都非常地认真。之前看的都是他写的中文书，没想到他的英文更好。而且做为大师级的文学者，他写苏东坡的同时，也介绍了大量的中国习俗，文化，地理等，可以看做是一部小型的百科全书，值得反复地多读几遍。真的体会到了，快速地读很多书，不如好好地细读一本好书。而做读书笔记能让我们读书读得更加扎实，记得更牢。

还有一点也很重要，以后看书应该多看点不同领域的，丰富下知识面。

Part 2 Summary :

Su Tungpo had a very happy childhood. His grandfather was quite clever and with integrity. His father Su Shun was knowledgeable.Besides,he also had a virtuous mother and a good young brother. His family was rich ,providing him a good environment for reading .

As a child , he studied harder than other students .Of course , he was quite brilliant and passed the official examinations with his brother later . They also met a sage emperor Jentsung who was anxious to secure good talent. Finally both brothers and their father got jobs.

Part 3 Words

1.The brothers were just over twenty ,and youth sometimes acted as a *handicap*for a genius.

Handicap: 做名词时，为“障碍，不利条件，还有"残废"的意思；

造句： Although the soldier has a handicap, he still proudly stands with the others.

2.on the lookout for

原文：Rich merchants at the capital with unmarried daughters wereon the lookout forthe announcement of the results of the examinations.

释义：在本文是“留意”的意思，也有“看守，警戒”的意思；

造句：Police were patrolling the train station on the lookout for trouble .

3. outstrip胜过

释义：to be better ,greater or larger than somebody or something; 这章里面的worst 做动词也有胜过的意思；

造句： He  outstripped all his rivals to win the race.

4.despondent 失望的，意志消沉的，没有精神的（比 disappointed程度更深）

释义：adj. very sad and without hope

造句：She was despondent because she failed in the exam again .
