Lesson 44 Through the forest

How did Mrs. Sterling get her bag back?

Mrs. Anne Sterling did not think of the risk she was taking when she ran through the forest after two men.

They had rushed up to her while she was having a picnic at the edge of the forest with her children and tried to steal her handbag.

In the struggle , the strap broke and , with the bag in their possession, both men started running through the tress. Mrs. Sterling got so angry that she ran after them. She was soon out of breath, but she continued to run. When she caught up with them, she saw that they had sat down and were going through the contents of the bag. So she ran straight at them. The men got such a fright that they dropped the bag and ran away. "The strap needs mending." said Mrs. Sterling later," but they did not steal anything"

4./z/:舌尖贴近上齿龈，但是不贴住，留有缝隙，发音时，气流从这个缝隙泄出，声带振动

5.rush up to sb:迎面冲向某人

6.caught up with them:追上（强强调结果）

7.go through:搜查

8.need mending:需要+doing，主动表示被动

练习感悟：

参加了一个活动和婚礼，中间断了两天没有练习，今天再练习，竟然生疏了，而且惰性也来了，很不想做，如果是以前，可能也就放弃了，但是想着再次重新开始的画面，觉得好恐怖，所以就继续了。很多时候，真正阻碍我们行动的，其实是我们的情绪，太容易被情绪支配，所以会按照情绪做事。如何和情绪共处让他不成为我们的绊脚石，是个不断自我对话的过程。
