The ant queen and her children lived in a big palace. Many little ants were taking care of this palace. There were many rooms in the big palace. Some rooms had food in it. Some rooms had eggs, and some rooms had babies.
One day, the fat and white baby got wings. She was the ant princess. A lot of ants got food for her. The princess found all the other ants have no wings. And her mom the queen does not have wings, either.
The princess decided to go outside to find friends with wings. Some wind blew, she flew into the sky.
The princess flew onto a peach flower to take a rest. Buzz, buzz, buzz. Oh, a honeybee was flying to a flower to drink some nectar.
“Honeybee, honeybee, our wings look the same. Are you my friend?” asked the princess happily.
“No, we smell different,“ the honeybee patted the ant with antennas.
“We are not friends.” The princess flapped her wings and flew away.
A Swallow flew to the ant princess. “ Swallow, swallow, are you my friend?” the princess asked.
The swallow did not answer her, but she just flew to her. The princess was scared away. She put her head down and went down the swallow’s belly and flew away.
The princess saw a butterfly sitting on a golden canola flower.
“Butterfly, butterfly, your wings are so beautiful. Are you my friend?” she smiled to the butterfly.
“Sorry, you can’t drink nectar. We are not friends,” said the butterfly.
The princess nodded her head and flew away.
The princess flew to a wheat farm.
“Ladybug, ladybug, the black dots on your wings are so cute. Are you my friend?” she got up her courage.
“Sorry, I need to go to other wheat plants to eat more aphids.” The ladybug flapped her wings and flew away.
The princess moodily flew away.
The princess flew to an apple orchard. She saw a beautiful scarab beetle. “Scarab, scarab, your wings are as beautiful as diamonds. Are you my friend?” asked the princess curiously.
“No, no, no, don’t bother me !” the scarab didn’t lift his head .
The princess flew away with tearful eyes.
The princess came to a pond. She was tired and lied on a water lily bud. A dragonfly stopped by her.
“Dragonfly, dragonfly, your wings are so shinny. Are you my friend?” the princess asked carefully.
“Gourmet food is here!” the dragonfly popped his eyes.
The princess was scared away.
The princess saw a lot of tiny whiteflies on a tomato leaf.
“Whiteflies, whiteflies, are you my friends?” asked the princess.
But they didn’t answer her, they just drank the juice all the time.
The princess walked away sadly.
The princess flew hard toward the popular tree. She saw a gray bug called Ms. Stink. She touched the back leg of Ms. Stink.
Before she could say hello to Ms. Stink, she fell down in a faint by the smelly fart.
Later, she woke up and flew away dizzily
The princess flew onto a willow tree to take a break.
Buzz, buzz, buzz, a mosquito came by.
“Mosquito, mosquito, are you my friend?” she asked anxiously.
“Run, run!” The mosquito flew away without looking back.
The princes kicked her legs and followed the mosquito.
The princess peeked backward while she was flying. She saw a gigantic bat rushing toward her. Desperately the princess flew forward.
Finally, the princess cast off the bat.
It was dark. The princess went home with stars guiding her all the way.
Once the princess got into the ant house, there were three ants waiting for her. Her eyes were wet with tears.
“Are you my friends?” she asked gently.
“Yes, we are!” The other ants happily answered.
They ate and played together.
After a shower, the air was fresh and wet.
The princess walked out of the door surrounded by her friends. She flew to the sky. Many winged ants rushed to her. Oh, they all wanted to be the bridegroom. She danced with the fastest ant and married him.
The princess became the new queen. She found a safe place to dig a hole. But it was really not easy to dig with wings that big. She pulled off two wings.
Then the other two wings.
“My wings are not useful any more.” she looked at her wings.
The queen dug the hole, laid eggs and brought up her children.
One day, her first batch of babies were hatched.
She saw her babies didn’t have wings.
But they worked hard. Some went out to find food, some took care of her eggs.
The ant queen had a lot of stories with her babies. I will update the new story from tomorrow. Don't forget to follow me at Jianshu. You can also comment on the picture and story at Jianshu.
