fit, suit, 和 match

表示穿衣戴帽是否合适，学会3个动词，基本一网打尽。这3个词意思相近，但区别很大，不能混用，放在一起学，更容易掌握。

1. 大小尺寸是否合适，用 fit

2. 穿了是否好看，是否适合，用 suit

3. 穿着是否搭配， 用 match

例句：

I tried the dress on but it didn't fit.   不合适（尺寸不对）

This jacket fis me well.     很合身（好不好看另说）

The shoes are too small. Size 9 will fit me.  要穿9码鞋才合脚

I can't find clothes to fit me.  找不到合身的衣服

I love you in that dress, it really suits you.  你穿那件衣服真好看

The skirt doesn't suit her for the party. 她晚会穿这条裙子不合适（不是尺寸不合适，可能是年龄大穿了条年轻人的裙子，又比如裙子过于前卫和晚会氛围不合等等）

Dark blue really suits you.  你穿深蓝色好看

He chose a silver grey tie to match his white shirt. 银灰领带配白衬衫（我也喜欢这么搭）

The color of her hat was a good match to her handbag. 帽子颜色和手袋很搭（本句match是名词，但意思一样）

He dyed his hair to match his uniform. 染了头发来配制服（不会是中国邮政员工吧）

美国人常会用 go with 来代替 match, 

比如：

Your scarf doesn't go with your dress. 围巾和衣服不搭

He chose a silver grey tie to go with his white shirt.

比用 match 更随意和口语化。

短语用得好，才是真的英语好。
