1、表示地点的介词(prep.)
介词主要接三种词：名词、代词、动名词
set out `from` the coast 从海岸出发
`swam` to the shore 游到哪里去 to可以替换为for
`towards` the light she had seen 朝着灯泡那里去
jumped `into` the sea 跳到海里去
`out of` darkness 冲出黑暗
arriving `at` the shore 在某个地点
`on` the cliff 在某个平面上发
`in` a small boat/ `in` a storm / `in` hospital 在某个立体里面
1、练习

Please come `into` the classroom the join us. 快到教室来和我们一起。
He is in shanghai, and he will fly `from` Shanghai `to` Beijing. 他在上海，他将从上海飞往北京。

be able to do sth. 能够做某事
explain 表示解释，可以加宾语、宾语从句
explain + what... 宾语从句
sth happen to sb 某事发生在某人身上

past
都表示经过，怎么区分呢？ 最主要区别是词性上
pass v. A week passed. 一周过去了。 pass作谓语动词
past
prep. It is eleven past ten. 现在是10过11分了。 past不是谓语动词，is 是谓语动词，一个句子只能有1个谓语动词
n. We cannot change the past. 我们不能改变过去
adj. The past experiences brought me here. 过去的经历使我来到这里
- 2、One afternoon she set out from the coast in a small boat and was caught int a storm.
from the coast : 表示从哪里来
in the small boat: 表示在..里面
in a storm
set out/off 表示出发。set动词，表示安顿、安放，再加上out，表示东西安顿好，出发了
be caught in ... 表示被抓住在...里面
那为什么不meet? meet不生动，用caught更加形像生动
I was caught in the traffic jam yesterday.
我昨天堵车了
- 3、Towards evening, the boat struck ... and the girl jumped into the sea.
Towards evening 表示天渐渐黑了
jump into 朝着某个方向运动。 in 静态，into表示动态。
- 4、Then she swam to the shore after spending the whole night in the water.
to 也可以换成towards 表示朝着这个方向游过去
in 一直在水里

- 5、She knew she was near the shore because the light was high up on the cliffs.

on the cliffs 在峭壁上
- 6、On arriving at the shore, the girl struggled up the cliff towards the light she had seen.
on doing 一做某事怎么样
at the shore 在岸边
towards the light... 朝着灯光就去了
she had seen 作为定语从句修饰light这个名词
the light (that/which) she had seen，这里关系词可以省略？
关系词作宾语可以省略
- 7、That was all she remembered.
all 是代词，代替名词的。
she remembered 是从句，名词+从句（没有关系词），是定语从句
all (that) she remembered.
