The definitely unique occurrence/phenomenon in China, Chunyun, or the spring festival travel rush can be ranked as/ compared with the largest scale of annual human migration. Despite the rapid urbanization, the allure/desire of returning home can never be abated, and the tradition that has been cherished since ancient times is much more well-recieved that any time in the history.

The peasant/migrant workers contribute most to chunyun as they work in a vibrant/prosperous city while leaving their family behind. Moreover, journeys made by holiday tourists are increasingly,  and the relocation of some industries from coastal cities to inland cities help ease the flow/ease relieve the burden of the traffic. Furthermore, the elderly parents travel from the countryside to the cities to reunite with their children. Such a reverse route also helps slow down the frantic chunyun.

From the point of my view, chunyun embodies the traditional value we have been cherishing for a long time. In spite of the higher travel cost, the expected extravagant spending on gifts, the more terrible traffic, which, I mean, cannot change the idea for family reunion, most Chinese people shrug off /put aside /drop any business at hand just to desperately go back ghome in hope of celebrating the most solemn festival with family and enjoy joyful festival atmosphere. For most of us, it is a precious and cherished moment in a year, because after the Spring Festival we will once again set out in different directions, and struggle  for life.

This is indeed a brave new start.
