Selected Poems of Edgar Allan Poe

1.To—("I heed not")

I mourn not that the desolate

Are happier, sweet, than I,

But that you sorrow for my fate

Who am a passer by.

2."Alone"

From childhood's hour I have not been

As others were—I have not seen

As others saw—I could not bring

My passion from a conmon spring—

From the same source I have not taken

My sorrow—I could not awaken

From the lightning in the sky

As it pass'd me flying by—

From the thunder, and the storm—

And the cloud that took the form

(When the rest of Heaven was blue )

Of a demon in my view—

一直感觉Poe是美国的诗鬼。
