Failing and Learning at Work
Resilience:
To be resilient after failures, we have to learn from them.
“Most of the time, we know this; we just don’t do it.”
1. creating a culture where failure is seen as a learning opportunity
2. convincing people to be more open about failure
2. 接受他人的反馈, being open to criticism, the ability to listen to feedback is a sign of resilience
3. ask others to hold up a mirror (reveal to someone what they look like to the rest of the world.)
公开诚实的沟通taking open and honest communication
“When companies fail, it’s usually for reasons that almost everyone knows but almost no one has voiced. When someone isn’t making good decisions, few have the guts to tell that person, especially if that person is the boss.”
Write Your Biggest Regret
“the majority of regrets were about failures to act, not actions that failed.”
