上周六参加一个英文读书会。来自美国的导读老师L在破冰环节问了我们一个问题：“如果你可以变成一种动物，度过一天的时光，你希望成为哪一种？”
Last Saturday, I went to a book club. Our group leader L from the US, she asked us a question at the ice-breaking session: “What kind of animal would you like to be to spend a day?”
猫 A cat
我有一只猫，我想了解它在我出门上班后都在做什么，想什么。猫有灵性，安静独立。
I have a cat. I want to know what does it do and think after I go to work. It has sagacity, quiet and independent.
鱼 A fish
我这人说话太多，想做一天鱼儿，不说话的鱼。
I think myself talk too much, so I want to be a fish which doesn't talk.
狗 A dog
狗狗可以被大家宠爱，有骨头吃就很开心。
A dog is beloved, and it is happy even only get a bone.
鹰 An eagle
鹰可以飞得很高，鸟瞰这个世界。自由自在翱翔于天际。
An eagle can fly high and get a bird's-eye view, freely soaring in the sky.
熊 A bear
我想做一只爱吃鱼的熊。
I want to be a bear, which loves eating fish.
羊 A sheep
羊儿温顺。我的丈夫属羊，他就是这样的性格。我想变得温和。
A sheep is meek. My husband was born in the year of sheep, and so does his character. I want to try to be a mild person.
虎 A tiger
我笨手笨脚，想变成一只强健又优雅的老虎，还有能力保护幼崽。
I am clumsy, so I want to be a tiger, that is strong and elegant, and it can protect its kids.
熊猫 A panda
熊猫非常可爱，受人保护，吃饭睡觉就可以吸引一大批观众。
An adorable panda is protected, it can attract a large audience when eating and sleeping.
鸟 A bird
想做一只小小鸟，早起捉虫，晚归筑巢。
If I were a little bird, I would get up early to catch insects, and be home late for nesting.
海豚 A dolphin
我想做一只微笑的海豚，因为还想当一种有智慧的动物。
I want be a smiling dolphin, because I still want to keep my intelligence.
蜉蝣 A mayfly
我说，我想变成一只蜉蝣。朝生暮死，能在一天的光景里经历一生。
I said, I want be a mayfly, born in the morning and die at night. I could experience my whole life during one day.
