Public interest / NGO campaigns refer to those non-governmental organizations, non-profit, voluntary and committed to public welfare. Its target is mainly the vulnerable groups in society. Non-governmental organizations also play an indispensable role in safeguarding public interests and play a decisive role. The public services provided by non-governmental organizations have covered a wide range of areas, from environmental protection, education, scientific research, social work, charity to public transport, public welfare exhibitions and so on. 

The example I have is Surfrider Foundation. Surfrider Foundation is a group of people who like ocean/surfing. It was founded in California in 1984. They take the protection of "oceans, coasts and beaches" as their duty, and are concerned about all issues related to oceans, coasts, seawater quality, beaches and ecological protection. Their actions are centered on the communities in each region. CEO Jim Moriarty claims to be a "non-profit grassroots organization" with nearly 250,000 supporters. Although it has no government funding and calls itself "grassroots", its strategy and advertising creativity are absolutely comparable to those of large international NGOs with great financial power. What I appreciate most is that they can make good use of the website, make use of limited resources, organize and mobilize the supporters and the masses of local communities to participate in activities through the activist network. 

In addition, supporters can find activities that need to be mobilized through the Action Center of this website, send petitions online or send joint support documents to local agencies, and see who is supporting related activities. The advertisement creativity of the website is also amazing!  The phrase "What Goes in the Ocean Goes in You" and sushi made of plastic are thought-provoking.
