1. The dead are said to return to their homes

有关“据说”的表达：

Evidently: means according to what people say

E.g. Evidently, he has been two-timing his wife.

Reportedly

E.g. His company had failed reportedly.

Seemingly

E.g. Seemingly, he owes the bank $2 million.

So the story goes/the story goes...

E.g. She never goes back to her hometown--or so the story goes.

2. Lay sth out: it means to spread sth out so that it can be seen easily or is ready to use.

E.g. She laid the book out on the desk.

3. 描述一个场景很壮观，景色美，除了用beautiful以外还可以用：spectacular, magnificent, splendid,great.

4. All-night: means through the night

E.g. Stay up all-night, an all-night store

5. Handmade: means made by a person using their hands rather than by machines (machine-made)

Home-made: means made at home, rather than produced in a factory and bought in a shop.

6. Fully booked 客满

E.g. You need to make an appointment in case the fancy restaurant will be fully booked.

7. Digest verb.

E.g. You should allow a little time after a meal for the food to digest.

Digest noun.

E.g. News digest

8. Edible: means fit or suitable to be eaten.

E.g. Those flowers are edible as a traditional Chinese medicine.

9. Express (adjective) means travelling very fast

E.g. An express train/bus
