"application/vnd.android.package-archive"是什么？

看到版本更新的时候发现一个问题
在第二篇中讲明了调用

Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW);  
        i.setDataAndType(Uri.parse("file://" + apkfile.toString()), "application/vnd.android.package-archive");   
        mContext.startActivity(i);  

可以自动安装一个apk应用。

但这里

"application/vnd.android.package-archive"究竟是什么呢？
