记一下ADC一些关键指标的计算

记之备忘。

一、Effective resolution: 有效分辨率 

Effective resolution = Log2(VIN / Vrms-noise)   

底数为2

VIN:输入范围,与ADC的PGA设置有关。例如一个24位ADC,PGA=128,2.5V基准电压。 那么VIN = ±Vref/PGA=(±2.5V/128) = 39.06mV

如果PGA=1,则VIN = 5V

Vrms-noise:rms噪声

二、Noise-free resolution: 无噪声分辨率

Noise-free resolution = Log2(VIN / Vp-p-noise) = Log2(VIN / 6.6* Vrms-noise) = Effective resolution - 2.7

这里取峰值因数C = 6.6 = Vp-p-noise / Vrms-noise

三、ENOB(Effective number of bits): 有效位数,注意与有效分辨率不是一个概念

ENOB = Log2[VIN / (Vrms-noise * √12)]  ≈ (SINAD-1.76) / 6.02

四、SINAD(Singal to Noise and Distortion ratio) : 信纳比

SINAD is defined as the ratio of the total signal power level(wanted Singal + Noise + Distortion or SND) to unwanted signal power(Noise + Distortion or ND)
