The Cancer of Procrastination

[Location: Home]

6:00

At the beginning of a day, or even earlier than that, the alarm music Benedicamus Domino started ringing from her cell phone, trying to wake Miss. Z up from the long, sweet dream. A shaking hand got out of the warm blanket underneath, grabbed that phone quickly within 0.1 seconds, and press “remind me 10 minutes later” on the screen. Then Miss. Z put down the phone, rolled over her body, and stayed in bed.

6:10

Miss. Z did it once again.

6:20

With the music alarm on, Miss. Z opened up her eyes, went to the bathroom, and then went back into bed and did it once again.

6:30

Miss. Z was finally away from that sweet, soft bed. She picked up her cell phone, slide the pop-up to the right to stop the alarm, and opened every social media she could on her phone and start texting.

6:50

Miss. Z suddenly realized that she´d better put down her phone, get ready immediately and get out of the door in 5 minutes, or she will miss the bus.

6:57

Miss. Z rushed out of the door, and kicked the newspaper in.

Miss. Z sat down on her spot as usual, and suddenly realized a great, great serious problem. “Oops,” she said to herself, and blushed.

“Take out your homework… Where’s your homework?” Mr.D came up to Miss. Z and looked at her, said with dramatic hyper voice and his super serious face.

“Um, ummmm… Well...” With a polite but awkward smile on her face, Mr.D’s words brought Miss. Z’s memory up to the scene from yesterday.

[YESTERDAY] 15:00

After a long, busy day as usual in school, Miss. Z slowly climbed up the stairs, and the sofa gave her a warm welcome embrace. She yawned, knew deep in mind that she got homework to do, but at that seriously tired moment, nobody could resist the temptation to take a nap.

[YESTERDAY] 17:00

The glimpse of the sunset glowed on her eyes and waked her up from 2-hour-long nap. She hesitated for seconds, and then picked up her cell phone, opened every social media she could  and start texting.

[YESTERDAY] 18:00

Miss.Z decided to watch some funny cats’ videos on her cell phone, and then have dinner.

[YESTERDAY] 20:00

Miss.Z had her dinner, and did the dishes. Then she needed to go out for a walk, and go to that gym.

[YESTERDAY] 21:15

Miss.Z was back from the gym. Now she had all her homework out and start doing them by certain order: English, economic, and let’s-see-what-will-happen, ...with her cell phone aside.

[YESTERDAY] 22:00

Miss.Z always has one good habit: go to bed on time; though she might still has work to do, she believes health is much more important. She planned to finish her FS homework during lunch.

6th Period

Miss.Z had some not-so-delicious trash food, and remembered nothing else but protecting herself during another fight that happened in the cafeteria.
