很多考生都有数字恐惧症(Number phobia)。其实很多数字恐惧症，都来源于“对表达数字并不是非常熟悉，疑惑是觉得表达抽象的数据很困难”，才会让很多人在心理上造就了想远离的效应，甚至是望而却步的地步。今天就教你怎么最地道地念数字。
个十百千万最基础的数字单位
相比较中文当中的“个十百千万亿”这种，英语里的数字单位会有些不同，比如我们的“万”这个概念，英语里则是“十千”—— ten thousand，“亿”则是“百百万”—— a hundred million。
表达几位数
single-digit number: 一位数
double-digit number: 两位数
three-digit number: 三位数
举个例子
ten thousand: 一万
a hundred thousand: 十万
a million: 一百万
ten million: 一千万
a hundred million: 一亿
a billion: 十亿
ten billion: 一百亿
a hundred billion: 一千亿
a trillion: 一万亿
注意，hundred, thousand不加s：除了thousands of, 英语里具体数字涉及hundred, thousand都不加s,
比如:
3000是three thousand;
30000是thirty thousand;
30万是300 hundred thousand, 都不加s;Million和billion也是相同逻辑
千位数：书面、口语表达方式
不同像1500这样的，千位百位都是有数字，个位十位都是零的数字，口语中常常把前两位按十位数念出来，再加上hundred。

1500即fifteen hundred(口语)，跟朋友口语聊天中就代替那种one thousand and five hundred(书面)—数学课上，数学老师的念法
6600
6600即sixty-six hundred(口语)，代替six thousand and six hundred(书面)
但如果是整千的数字，也就是百位数是零的话，比如5000，就不能说成“fifty hundred”，而应该念“five thousand”。
不是整百或整十的数字怎么念?
窍门是遇到四位数以上的数字，我们先遵循英语千、万...的表达方法，接着把剩下的数字放在一起念：
举个例子
1555: fifteen hundred and fifty five或者one thousand five hundred and fifty-five
15555: fifteen thousand five hundred and fifty five
155555: a hundred fifty-five thousand five hundred and fifty five
629：six hundred twenty-nine(口语,书面)
窍门就是从右往左数三位，留下几位再跟正常的数字读，就是分两段啦!
比如155555，从右往左数，155 -555，分成两段啦：第一段155念one hundred and fifty-five, 后面再加一个thousand就好;第二段就是555，念five hundred and fifty five,所以如果没有到百万million的单位，都是按照thousand和hundred单位来计算!
价格怎么念?
一般表达价格的时候，念法都会有所简化。比如小数点(demical point)就会直接省略，不用说point; 而dollar等钱的单位在口语里也常常不说。

$9.95：nine ninety-five:
$99.95：ninety-nine ninety-five:

小数和分数
小于1的小数(decimal)，最前面的零口语里可以省略，比如0.8就是point eight。分数(fraction)的念法和中文是反过来的。比如1/5是one fifth; 3/5是three fifth, 1/10是one tenth，书写的时候，后缀要加th.
