Yuanyuan Zhou,自己00年从princeton phd毕业,05年就带有phd毕业了。额。09年~现在在University of California, San Diego。00年毕业后到09年一直在Illinois大学当助理教授。
现在从最近到最远,分别简单介绍其弟子各个的研究方向,以便后面调研时方便。总体来说Yuanyuan Zhou做的符合其OPERA名字的定位。
1)Peng Huang(http://cseweb.ucsd.edu/~peh003/),06-10北大的本硕?11年去的yuanyuan zhou那。隶属system and networking group。主要关注system performance and system reliability。他自己说虽然干bug是他经常在做的事情,但这只是他总体画卷中的一部分:taming the wild, hardening the fragile, fixing the broken and ultimately making systems operate as reliably and efficiently as possible。其作为1作的论文有:

2)Tianwei(Tim) Sheng(http://www.linkedin.com/in/tianweisheng),清华的phd,yuanyuan zhou下的post-doc,phd期间主要关注compiler optimization and program analysis,3次在google实习过。最后一次实习关注于并行bug的检测并开发了raceZ(低成本检测data race的工具),post-doc期间,关注于big data analysis。现在是whova(Smart networking for events and communities)的co-founder。
3)Weiwei Xiong(http://www.xiongww.com/About_Me.html),清华的本硕,07年毕业后去了UIUC读5年的phd。研究方向是致力于improving concurrent system reliability with support from operating systems, programming language, architecture and any other useful techniques。现在是whova的co-founder。其作为1作的文章有:

4)Ding Yuan (http://www.eecg.toronto.edu/~yuan/Home.html),现今多伦多大学的助理教授,13年毕业后就去了。06年北航本科毕业,研究方向是software systems and operating systems,with a focus on developing practical solutions to improve the availability and performance of large software systems.他做的东西跟我的研究方向比较近,papers可以去看看。
5)Shan Lu(http://people.cs.uchicago.edu/~shanlu/), 现为Chicago大学的assist professor。ilinois大学的yuanyuan Zhou下的08年毕业的phd,dissertation thesis为Understanding, Detecting, and Exposing Concurrency Bugs。09-14年在Wisconsin大学到助理教授。主要关注于concurrency bugs 和performance problems的detect和fix。工作做的很好好像,很多top的文章,还有distinguished papers好几个。带了好几个phd了。。。她的工作可以好好去看看。
6)Jiaqi Zhang(http://jiaqiz.com/),09年-现在的phd,清华的本硕,09年前是专注于并行计算,分布式系统和编译器相关。现在转为system reliability。phd期间发表的1作的论文:

7)Feng Qin(http://web.cse.ohio-state.edu/~qin/),06年phd毕业后加入ohio大学13年成为助理教授,研究方向为system dependability,operating system and security。现在还是这个方向。也有很多学生。2个毕业的phd,有一个是Zhezhe Chen(https://www.linkedin.com/in/zhezhechen),02-08浙大的本硕,08-13ohio的phd。关注于detect各种类型的错误,如data corruption errors,synchronization errors,communication-related bugs,information leakage on smartphones,现在在Twitter。暑期2次ibm实习。有一个Mai Zheng(http://www.cs.nmsu.edu/~mzheng/),15年phd毕业,关注各种data storage(e.g., non-volatile memory, file systems, cloud storage, mobile storage, data-intensive science, etc),现在是New Mexico State University的助理教授。算了,不讲,Feng Qin的的学生了,我感觉Yuanyuan Zhou,或者说Kai Li的影响力还真的大,基本上ta们下面的phd们出来后基本还是ta们当初的方向。有很多设计bugs相关的也即大方向system reliability,有memory相关的,有storage相关的。
好,算了,不全部列举了,只列举那些phd毕业后进高校继续做research的人好了。
8)Lin Tan(https://ece.uwaterloo.ca/~lintan/),这个也很厉害,浙大的BS,09年毕业的phd。现在是Waterloo Uni的assistant professor。研究方向是Software engineering;Software reliability;Comment analysis;Text analytics;Focusing on using interdisciplinary techniques such as natural languageprocessing, machine learning, and program analysis to improve system reliability。她的工作可以好好看看,非常相关还。
