Look, their is a bug on the flower. It's red and has black circles.What's it? It's a ladybug!A lot of ladybugs are red.But they can be all kinds of different colors, even blue.Birds and other bugs see the bright colors and think, " Yuck! Idon't want to eat that for lunch.I love to watch ladybugs fly.Their hard shell opens up, and two wings pop out…then off it goes! Ladybugs crawl around on six sticky legs.Every time I find a ladybug I make a wish.
Look, on the ground, there are some ants. There are so many of them.These worker ants found rice to take back home.Do you know that ants live together in great big groups?How many legs do ants have? Let's count. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6!Bugs with six legs are called insects.Ants have two antennae sticking out of their head. They use their antennae to smell and to talk" to other ants.

Look, a spider web! This is the house for a spider! If you want to look for a spider, maybe try to look for spider webs first! Then you will find spiders close by.Did you know that some spiders make a new spider web every night?Spiders make webs to trap bugs to eat. Bugs will crawl or fly right into the sticky web.Spiders come in so many different sizes. Some spiders are small with super thin legs. Other spiders are big and hairy. How many legs do spiders have? Let's count. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,8.Spiders are not insects because they have more than six legs.
Look at that beautiful butterfly. Butterflies get their food from flowers. They taste it with their feet! Can you imagine eating with your feet? Butterflies sometimes look like flowers, or even like other animals. This helps them hide from animals that might want to eat them. Butterflies aren't butterflies when they are born. They start as caterpillars. The caterpillar builds a house around itself called a cocoon. Then after many days, the caterpillar turns into cocoona butterfly.

Steps:
Fold a piece of black paper in half to form the body.
Take two pieces of red paper and fold them in half.
Cut a semicircle on both pieces when you open them up, you will have two circles.
Glue the two folded circles onto the body as wings.
On a small piece of paper draw two eyes.
Glue the eyes to the head.
Cut small circles from the leftover black paper to form the dots.
Glue the dots evenly on each wing.
