Dear Kahlen and Maple,

This is Mengyao, thanks for the chance and warm atmosphere of the F2F interview this morning. Since there is not a personal introduction section because of the limited time, I'd like to make an addition:)


I'm from CUC advertising college, majored in New Media Marketing (marketing in the New media age). We did teamwork and case study a lot in school which made me a good team player and gained good result.

I got to know Millward Brown during my internship in a brand consulting company. I agreed and interested a lot in the consumer based brand assets and the value of insight from qualitative research.


Personally speaking, I'm qualified in three aspects.

First, I have basic marketing knowledge and research skills based on my one year working experience and case study at school.

I have went through two projects in my current ompany and are familiar with the project management process as below and how to cooperate with team members.

I trained myself the qualitative research skills(interview, focus group, participatory observation) through former projects which will be mentioned below. From my perspective, the key point is to stand in a neutral position and guide the interviewee to say more. Definitely, I want to learn how you work.

Second, I'm a quick learner according to my cross industries' projects experience. Such as mobile medical project(I did user contact point analysis/interviews for brand audit), FMCG- Maybelline(as the team leader, I conducted consumers research to assess its brand communication strategies according to the consumer-based brand asset theory), Knowledge payment- Himalayan FM(This is my personal project, I compared with the company’s objective and users’ experience to give recommendations on 4P aspects via qualitative research), E-commerce O2O/Community E-commerce(My first interception interview and found the tree structure in interview design on myself, which gave me huge confidence), Chemical Industry (present company is for 2B chemicalproduct market, customers mainly are overseas companies that want to know themarket size of a specific area, consumers trend and 4P related marketstratigies). What's more? Online education, new retail, Intelligent hardware, real estimate, energy...

Third, I'm a task oriented person and would like to break down the problems and solve it finally. That's what I learned from each professional staff I ever met.
