读后感

Before listening to Annie's analysis of the article, I thought that the 47-minute record was lengthy since the article was quite succinct. But Annie really filled the time with nuggets, telling us that it is not only concise but also exquisite, which is dappled with impeccable usages of small words.

According to Annie, the article is an introduction of a book about science written for middle school students, which makes it easy and interesting to read. The article starts with the illustration of what scientific method is, which is the key concept of science and also the reason of scientific progression. Then, the article tells the development of science in segmented eras from ancient Greece to modern times. This is a quick tour of some most important science discoveries in history. In the end, the writer talks about the cutting-edge science discoveries, which greatly inspire the readers to dive into the details of the book.

The article consists of plain English and is a model for us to learn, especially when we want to write about science.
