本最终报告主要概述“变速传动用单相至三相转换器”项目以及项目进展情况。由于三相电网的不可用和安装成本高,电力逆变器是解决这一问题的重要手段。本项目旨在开发适用于配备变速驱动(VSD)应用的三相设备在单相电源中运行的电子转换器。该项目提出了两种用于电路建模和仿真的转换器拓扑结构,包括PRC和PWM两种方法。项目的建模使用PSPICE软件完成。该模型将根据三相电机负载要求进行仿真,为转换器的设计提供依据。通过仿真分析,证明了这两种方法都是可行的,从而达到了用单相电源产生三相电源的目的,提高了系统的性能和效率。对于给定的时间框架,项目只关注如何使用所提出的方法开发转换器,而没有控制策略。通过对变换器实施控制策略,可以进一步改进设计。

This final report is mainly to give anoverview about the “Single phase to Three phase converter for variable speeddrive applications” project and also the progress of the project. Due tounavailability and high cost installation of three phase power network, powerinverter is very important to address this problem. Here comes the purpose ofthe project to develop electronic converters that applicable for three phaseequipment that equipped with variable speed drive (VSD) applications to operatein single phase supply. This project proposed two converter topologies forcircuit modelling and simulation. There are PRC and PWM method. The modelingfor the project will be done using PSPICE software. The model will besimulating based on the load requirement which is 3-phase motor for theconverter design. Based on the simulation analysis it has been proved thatthese two methods can be implemented in order to achieve the project’sobjective which to produce 3 phase power from single phase supply with improvedperformance and better efficiency. For this given time frame the project onlyfocus on the methodology on how to develop the converter using proposed methodbut without control strategy. Further improvement or works can be carried outto improve the design by implemented control strategy for the converter.
