美国SEC主席：如遵守规则，ICO 是筹集资金的有效途径

United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Jay Clayton has said in a speech that Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) “can be effective ways for entrepreneurs and others to raise capital” but that "the novel technological nature of an ICO does not change the fundamental point that, when a security is being offered, our securities laws must be followed."

Today, the founder of Ethereum, Vitalik made a twieetstorm on non-financial applicaitong of blockchains. He concluded that "non-financial applications have a leg up over financial ones in one important sense: there is less at stake if they break, so fewer reasons to fear deploying them fairly quickly. So they could be the first applications deployed widely, especially in institutional contexts."

According to the announcement, the 6 companies will separately build prototypes and systems that aim to address global problems like transparency in healthcare delivery, affordable access to mobile communications, as well as the ability to allocate finances and resources in social initiatives.

Digital banking platform Good Money just raised $30 million in a Series A funding round to continue developing its app. Galaxy Digital participated in the funding round as the lead company. Good Money says it will offer free ATMs nationwide, no overdraft fees, low consumer loan rates and a 2 percent Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Savings rate. The company intends to release its full app sometime in 2019.

He said it’s time for other members of Parliament to familiarize themselves with cryptocurrencies and blockchain because the revolutionary technologies and the buzz surrounding them aren’t going away, Express UK reported.

Many decentralized crypto exchanges have not been successful because they're a hybrid. The exchange either has to be completely decentralized/uncensorable or centralized, in between doesn't have many merits. A decentralized exchange doing KYC kind of destroys the point.
