现在想来，好像小时候自己也念叨过与此类似的打油诗，林先生翻译出来显得格外有趣，因为选用了“treason”这个词，使得译文整体非常押韵。不想读的时候不勉强，想读的时候尽情读，这就可以称之为享受了。

那么究竟怎样才算是真正的读书艺术呢？简单的答语就是：随手拿过一本书，想读时，便读一下子。如想真正得到享受，读书必须出于完全自动。一个人尽可以拿一本《离骚》或一本《奥玛.迦》（Omar Khayyam）， 一手挽着爱人，同到河边去读。如若那时天空中有美丽的云霞，他尽可以放下手中的书，抬头赏玩。也可以一面看，一面读，中间吸一斗烟，或喝一杯茶，更可以增添他的乐趣。或如在冬天的雪夜，一个人坐在火炉的旁边，炉上壶水轻沸，手边放着烟袋烟斗，他尽可以搬过十余本关于哲学、经济、诗文、传记的书籍堆在身边的椅子上，以闲适的态度，随手拿过一本来翻阅。如觉得合意时，便可读下去，否则便可换一本。金圣叹以为在雪夜里关紧了门读一本禁书乃是人生至乐之一。陈眉公描写读书之时说，古人都称书籍画幅为“柔篇”，所以最适宜的阅读方式就是须出于写意。这种心境使人养成随事忍耐的性情。所以他又说，真正善于读书的人，对于书中的错字绝不计较，正如善于旅行的人对于上山时一段崎岖不平的路径，或如出门观看雪景的人对于一座破桥，或如隐居乡间的人对于乡下的粗人，或如一心赏花的人对于味道不好的酒一般，都是不加计较的。

What , then, is the true art of reading? The simple answer is to just take up a book and read when the mood comes. To be thoroughly enjoyed, reading must be entirely spontaneous. One takes a limp volume of Lisao, or of Omar Khayyam, and goes away hand in hand with his love to read on a rive bank. If there are good clouds over one's head, let them read the clouds and forget the books, or read the books and the clouds at the same time. Between times, a good pipe or a good cup of tea makes it still perfect. Or perhaps on a snowy night, when one is sitting before the fireside, and there is a kettle singing on the hearth and a good pouch of tobacco at the side, one gathers ten or a dozen books on philosophy, economics, poetry, biography and piles them up on the couch, and then leisurely turns over a few of them and gently lights on the one which strikes his fancy at the moment. Chin Shengt'an regards reading a banned book hehind closed doors on a snowy night as one of the greatest pleasures of life. The mood for reading is perfectly described by Ch'en Chiju (MeiKung): "The ancient people called books and paintings 'limp volumes' and 'soft volumes'; therefore the best style of reading a book or opening an album is the leisurely style. " In this mood , one develops patience for everything. As the same author says, "The real master tolerates misprints when reading history, as a good traveller tolerates had roads when climbing a mountain, one going to watch a snow scene tolerates a flimsy bridge, one choosing to live in the country tolerates vulgar people, and one bent on looking at flowers tolerates had wine"
