My reflection on reading Gay Genius

Frankly speaking, i didn't fully understand the whole contents,nor did i commit many words or phrases to memory, but i did know better about the great poet -Su Tungpo, may be that is satisfying for me to join the reading club. When i finished the half of this book,i felt revolt about the politics,partystrife or the things that were not close relevant to Su Tungpo. Not only because there were many new words or expressions, but because i was not interested in them. I nearly lost heart in proceeding the book halfway.  Anyway, i tried to saty with other members and keep the pace with them, i finally made it, really a backbreaking task.So i just want say reading SuTungpo really sapped my inclination of biographical english books, haha. Suffice it to say that this is the first english novel that i have completed since my graduation from college eight years ago and now i am elated .

During high school ,no sooner i learned Su's poems had i fell in love with his poems. This time i knew his life, i admired him. Barring his genius on poems ,verse, govern,paintings and calligraphy, i adore his disposition most.His uprightness,his imprudence, his affection of Tseyu, his indomitable spirit, his broad mind and his life-long philosophy toward fate and his humor in predicament moved me profoundly.

Su Tungpo died and his name is only a memory, but he has left behind for all of us the joys of his spirit and the pleasure of his mind,  and these are imperishable.

First, read to know.

Then, read to learn something.

Finally, read to appreciate,to enjoy, to enrich my life.
