A conflict arose concerning tiny houses, which had been an economic housing option for the past 12 years. On December 15, New Hampshire city ordered eviction of all the residents of a "tiny house" community, claiming their rented cottages were not permitted as full-time residences. Now these tiny-home dwellers are suing the village's owner for violating their lease by renting out homes that were not up to code. Tiny-house owners themselves are in dilema too. There were no suitable building code for tiny houses. And a bill that would have required local governments to allow tiny houses on residential plots ultimately failed. For too many tiny-house residents, the pursuit regulatory pursuit of quality housing means they end up with no housing.
