[ before ]

Tip: (时间)，在...以前

① before + 表示几点钟的数词

        before 10:00 十点之前        before 12:00 十二点之前

② before + 具体的时间点的名词

        before class 上课前        befroe school 上学前        before work 上班前

③ before + 表示几岁的词语

        before 35 years old 35岁之前

④ before + 表示年份的数词

        before 1999 1999年之前       

⑤ before + 星期几、节日

        before Christmas 圣诞节前        before Sunday 星期天之前

注意：before + 表示具体时间或时间点，构成的介词短语主要做时间状语，

        用在一般过去时、一般将来时或一般现在时

      [例1]：I get up before 7:00 every day.

      [例2]：I will get up before 7:00 tomorrow morning.

      [例3]：We must finish out lessons before this year.        我们必须在今年之前完成我的课程

      [例4]：We will be very rich before 2020.        2020年之前，我们会有钱的

      [例5]：Pandora will marry a good man before 35 years old.

注意：before 后面不能加一段时间，一般来说，不能用 before three days，如果想要表达三天之前，可以用 ago 也就是 three days ago

Tip: (位置)，在...前面，当着...的面

① before me 在我前面

② before Pandora 在潘多拉前面

③ before the computer 在电脑前面

        可以用做 地点状语、后置定语、表语

      [例1]：He boasts before Nick.        地点状语 他在尼克面前吹嘘自己

      [例2]：I teach English before the computer.        地点状语 我在这台电脑面前教英语

      [例3]：The man before the computer is Nick.        后置定语 这台电脑面前的男人是尼克

      [例4]：Nick is before the computer.        尼克在这台电脑前面

Tip: (顺序)，在...之前，先于

before 可以跟一个句子表示先后顺序，但是这个属于状语从句的内容

        Think it over before you act.        三思而后行

[ behind ]

Tip: (时间)，晚于、迟于

      [例1]：Your idea is behind the times.        你的想法落后于时代了

Tip: (位置)，在...的后面

behind 最常用的情况是：behind 跟一个表示 物体、地点、场所或表示人的词语，构成一个介词短语，表示 在...的后面，跟上面的 before 是反义词

① behind me        在我后面

② behind the door        在门后面

③ behind the curtain        在窗帘后面

④ behind my house        在我的房子后面

可以用做 地点状语、后置定语、表语

      [例1]：Some people say something bad behind me.        有些人在我背后说坏话.

      [例2]：They are playing basketball behind my house.        他们正在我房子的后面打篮球

      [例3]：My friends are chatting behind my room.

      [例4]：My friend was behind the curtain last night.

behind 有时可以表示为 能力、力量不如、落后或低于别人

      [例1]：I am far behind you in English.        在英语方面，我远远落后于你

Tip: (位置)，在...之下

① below the bridge        在这座桥下面

② below the clouds        在云的下面

③ below the building        在这栋大楼下面

④ below the wall        在这墙下面

⑤ below the window        在这窗户下面

      [例1]：Many girls are standing below the hotel.        很多女孩正站在这个酒店的下面

      [例2]：The goats below the hill are black.        这山下的山羊是黑色的

      [例3]：Your cellphone is below the wall.        你的手机在这墙下面

      [例4]：Her skirt came below the kness.        她的裙子长到膝盖下面

Tip: (数量、程度、价值、位次、能力、年龄) 低于，在...以下

below 有时候跟表示数量、程度、价值、年龄、温度的词语，构成一个介词短语，

表示低于... 、在...以下。其中最常见的是：below + 数词 表示数量

        ① below 20        二十以下(年龄20以下 数量20以下)

        ② below 40 years old        四十岁以下

        ③ below 20 ℃        二十度以下

below 构成的介词短语，基本上做表语或后置定语

      [例1]：She is below 40 years old.        (表语)她在四十岁以下

      [例2]：It is below 20 ℃.        表语，气温在20度以下

      [例3]：The people below / under 18 years old can't attend my course.

      [例4]：He is below me in the class.        在班上，他落后于我

[ beside ]

Tip: (位置)，在...旁边，在...附近        beside + 名词 / 代词

① beside the sea        在海边

② beside the river        在河边

③ bedise a lake        在湖边

④ beside me        在我旁边

beside 构成的介词短语，基本上做地点状语、表语或后置定语

      [例1]：The room beside the bathroom is mine.        (后置定语) 洗手间旁边的房间是我的

      [例2]：She is beside the bathroom.        (表语) 她在洗手间旁边

      [例3]：The man beside his father is a doctor.        (后置定语) 他爸爸旁边的男人是医生

      [例4]：She lives beside the sea.        (地点状语) 她住在海边

Tip: 表示 和...相比        beside + 名词 / 代词

      [例1]：Beside his，my trouble is nothing.        跟他的麻烦相比，我的算不了什么

      [例2]：Beside Jasmine's income，mine is nothing.

[ between ]

Tip: (时间、位置、数量)，在...之间

between 表示，在两者之间，因此 between 后面需要跟一个连词 and，或者 between + 表示两个事物或两个人的名词 / 代词

between A and B

① between Guangxi and Guangdong        在广东和广西之间

② between my house and the bank        在我家和这个银行之间

③ between the girl and the car

between + 表示两个事物、两个人的词语

① between us        我们之间

② between two hills        两座山之间

③ between two trees        两棵树之间

between + 两个时间点

① between 11:00 and 13:00        在11点和13点之间

② between 40 and 60 years old        在40岁和60岁之间

③ between 1998 and 2001        在1998年和2001年之间

between 做时间状语

      [例1]：We have a class between 20:00 and 22:00.        我们在晚上八点和晚上十点之间上课

      [例2]：I was a middle school student between 1998 and 2001.        时间状语

between 表示在两个位置之间，做地点状语、后置定语、表语

      [例1]：He does business between American and China.       

                他在美国和中国之间做生意，地点状语

      [例2]：They don't know the secret between you and me.    

                他们不知道你我之间的秘密，后置定语

      [例3]：My computer is between the TV set and the radio.

                我的电脑在电视和收音机之间，表语

between A and B 可以是数字，表示在两个数字之间，一般做表语

      [例1]：The number is between 4 and 6.        这个数字在4和6之间

      [例2]：The number of my students is between 20 and 40.

                我学生的人数在20到40人之间

between A and B 表示 两者之间的关系，一般做后置定语，修饰一些特定的名词

      [例1]：What is the difference between A and B?        A和B之间的区别是什么？

      [例2]：What is the difference between bananas and cooking bananas?

                香蕉和芭蕉之间的区别是什么？
