With fast development of digital technology,people gain information more easily online.therefor,some people believe that we do not need the library.however i completely disagree with that idea.

For one thing,the library is not only the room for people who intend to read or access information.it can be used as a place for teaching activities.for instance,when distinguished professor or educators would hold a lecture in a certain university,the library may be a better choice due to the high-grade equipment and acoustic facilities.moreover,it is also a good place for students to study.library’s well-organized table and desk and its quiet environment benefit students considerably and they can hardly distract from the external matters.besides,students in the library can conveniently gain information they need.

Apart from learning and activities,the library can also play other roles.for example,the library may be as a landmark of certain cities.in my hometown the library in one university named “zhengyi”or justice is very famous as the symbol of location.there are thousands of citizens to visit it every year.meanwhile,to some extent,it might lead to more people to read and acquire more knowledge.at last,the library can also function as social activity centre,people can hold a variety of activities there,particularly for senior citizens and young children due to its safety and convenience.

In conclusion, the role the library play as a place for reading decline.however,the library can also be used for learning and holding various activities.
