seaplane & airborne
seaplane很清楚sea+plane就是表示“水上飞机”,英文解释为“a plane that can take off from and land on a body of water”
airborne表示“在飞行中的,在空中”,英文解释为“If an aircraft is airborne, it is in the air and flying.”,文中的stay airborne for about 15 minutes 就是大约飞了15分钟
Global Times:
China's first domestically made large amphibious aircraft AG600 successfully made its first water-based test flight Saturday morning in Jingmen, Central China's Hubei Province, with experts expecting the aircraft to cover the entire South China Sea in the future with its far-reaching rescue and monitoring capabilities.
The aircraft lifted off from the water of Jingmen's Zhanghe Reservoir at 8:51 am, and landed back on to water at 9:05 am, marking the success of its first water-based test flight, according to a statement its manufacturer Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) released on Saturday.
Xinhua:
China's independently-developed large amphibious aircraft AG600 completed its first water takeoff and landing in Jingmen city in central province of Hubei on Saturday morning.

The AG600, codenamed Kunlong (鲲龙), is designed to be the world's largest amphibious aircraft. It completed its maiden flight in December 2017.
The AG600 is the third member of China's "large aircraft family" following the large freighter Y-20 and large passenger aircraft C919.

maiden flight
表示“首航,首飞,初次飞行”;maiden作形容词,可以表示“〔飞机的〕首次飞行/〔船的〕首次航行”,英文解释为“the first journey that a plane or ship makes”,如:maiden flight/voyage;
也可以表示“〔在议会中的〕首次演说”,英文解释为“maiden speech the first speech that someone makes in parliament”
CGTN:
With a 28-meter wingspan, the amphibious aircraft can use both land and water surface to take off. The maximum take-off weight is over 53 tons.
wingspan
表示“ (鸟、昆虫或飞机的)翼展; 翼幅”,英文解释为“The wingspan of a bird, insect, or aeroplane is the distance from the end of one wing to the end of the other wing.”,举个:
... a glider with an 18-foot wingspan
...一架翼幅为18英尺的滑翔机
Taking off in water surface has higher requirements on the structure of the plane as well as the skill of pilots.
"It is more difficult to take off on water than on land, especially on the shock resistance of the plane," said Chen Ming, co-pilot of AG600.
The plane will be used in disaster relief and fire control missions in the future.
AG600飞机可执行森林灭火和水上救援任务。
