A modern descendant（后裔） of the Roman Molosser dog, the Berner Sennenhund, as it is known in German, is a complex breed.

伯恩山犬作为罗马莫罗山犬的现代后裔，在德国是众所周知的一个混合品种。

Despite their eventual（最终） massive size, the Swiss pups can be rather sensitive, prone to separation anxiety（分离焦虑） and even intimidated（害怕） by beards.

尽管它们最终体型庞大，但瑞士伯恩山幼犬可能会相当敏感，容易出现分离焦虑甚至被胡须吓倒。

Can you say heartbreakingly shy? At the same time, they're equally known to love people, especially kids, and be a true friend until the end.

Be warned while they start out small they grow fast, so cherish it while it lasts.

Thankfully if properly trained and socialized as a pup, the Bernese Mountain dog never seems to become aware of its age, keeping a puppy-like（幼犬般） attitude towards life, for way longer than many other breeds.
