A private conversation

Last week I went to the theatre. I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting. I did not enjoy it. A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. They were talking loudly. I got very angry. I could not hear the actors. I turned round. I looked at the man and the woman angrily. They did not pay any attention. In the end, I could not bear it. I turned round again. 'Ican't hear a word!' I said angrily. ‘It’s none of your business,' the young man said rudely. 'This is a private conversation!'

英语发音中的“失音”

失音:失音，顾名思义就是某一个或者几个音脱落，把单词短语和句子快速连缀成串。单词间的失音有四种类型。今天先学其中一种，也是课本中出现的一种：

注释：持续音(Continuant)，亦作通音或简称作续音，是指语音中声带在不完全闭塞的状况下发出来的声音。根据这个定义，持续音亦包括所有元音及擦音[1]。基本上任何非塞音的辅音都被归入持续音的类别。然而，这个分别方式其实比较粗野，因为擦音其实是由一个塞音加上一个持续音组成，这样的话，擦音是否持续音的一种就变得有争议。所以，后来语言学家从发声的机制出发去定义“持续音”的意思。

文中例句：

A young man and a young woman were sittingbehind  [bɪ'haɪnd] me [miː].  “d”无需发出来。

练习感悟：

看似简单，实则不易。由于时间仓促，只练习了3遍，但也学到了很多连读和省音，这是以前不曾注意的。希望下次练习加上查音标。
