007. 共产主义…是自有人类历史以来，最完全最进步最革命最合理的。共产主义的思想体系和社会制度，正以排山倒海之势，雷霆万钧之力，磅礴于全世界，而葆其美妙之青春。我们共产党人从来不隐瞒自己的政治主张。我们的将来纲领或最高纲领，是要将中国推进到社会主义和共产主义社会去的，这是确定的和毫无疑义的。我们的党的名称和我们的马克思主义的宇宙观，明确地指明了这个将来的、无限光明的、无限美妙的最高理想。

Communism is the most complete progressive, revolutionary and rational system in human history. The communist ideological and social system alone is full of youth and vitality, sweeping the world with the momentum of an avalanche and the force of a thunderbolt. We Communists never conceal our political views. Definitely and beyond all doubt, our future or maximum program is to carry China forward to socialism and communism. Both the name of our Party and our Marxist world outlook unequivocally point to this supreme ideal and the future, a future of incomparable brightness and splendor.

描绘组织愿景，是领导者的头等大事。愿景不是吹牛，不是忽悠，而是领导者凭借自己对于未来和趋势的深刻洞察，对组织未来可能的图景作出的宏大叙事。愿景一定是美好的，实现愿景的过程也一定是艰难的。领导者要用最直抵人心的词汇和方式，把人们心中憧憬的未来和组织的愿景连接起来，勾勒出来。领导者一定要对自己描绘的愿景深信不疑，而且要传达出不惜奉献自己的一切去实现这个愿景的信念。

To picture the vision of organization should be the priority of the leader. The description of organizational vision is not to brag or deceive, but rather is to delineate the grandeur of organizational perspective in the future, which is based on the leader’s gut feeling of and insight toward the future and tendency. Vision is absolutely good, but the process of realizing it is certainly very hard. The leader must juxtapose people’s dreams with the organizational vision and clearly depict it in a manner of explicit expressions that are straightforward to people’s hearts. The leader himself should believe the vision that is uttered by him without a shadow of doubt, in the meantime,convey his resolution of achieving this vision at all costs.

008. 严重的问题是教育农民。我们必须相信：（1）广大农民是愿意在党的领导下逐步地走上社会主义道路的；（2）党是能够领导农民走上社会主义道路的。这两点是事物的本质和主流。人民靠我们去组织。

The serious problem is the education of the peasantry. We must have faith, first, that the peasant masses are ready to advance step by step along the road of socialism under the leadership of the Party, and second, that the Party is capable of leading the peasants along this road. These two points are the essence of the matter, the main current.

对待事物的基本假设和根本态度，决定了事业成败的基础，决定了事业的格局和实现事业的根本路径与方法。管理层必须采取这样的基本假设：（1）组织的广大成员是认同组织的愿景，并愿意在管理层的带领下去实现这一愿景；（2）管理层有信心能够带领组织成员实现组织愿景目标，同时，在实现组织愿景目标的过程中，能够不断增强组织的整体能力和素质。在面临任何困难和问题时，牢记这两条事物的本质和主流，是解决一切问题的关键。

Itis the basic assumption and attitude that pave the way to success or failure, and decide the pattern of our undertaking and the choice of essential path and method to it. Such a fundamental assumption must be fostered by management: (1) the rank and file approve the organizational vision, and are willing to fulfill the mission under the guidance of management layer. (2) management layer has faith that they are capable of leading the staff to achieve the organizational goal, and able to improve the organizational competence as a whole at the same time. To bear in mind these two points as the essence and main current of all matters is critical to resolve any difficulties and problems.

009. 我们作计划、办事、想问题，都要从我国有六亿人口这一点出发，千万不要忘记这一点。革命不是请客吃饭，不是作文章，不是绘画绣花，不能那样雅致，那样从容不迫，文质彬彬，那样温良恭俭让。

In drawing up plans, handling affairs or thinking over problems, we must proceed from the fact that China has a population of 600 million people, and we must never forget this fact.

愿景不仅必须要有，而且要尽可能高远宏大。但是愿景的落实，则必须牢牢扎根于组织的具体现实，不能有一丝一毫侥幸、虚妄的想法和做法。

Vision and mission are not only a must but also should be as grand and ambitious as possible. The realization of vision and mission, however, must be firmly rooted in the actual situations of an organization. Any kind or degree of fluke and illusion is not allowed in thoughts and actions.
