散文集已经读完了。最后一篇是E B White的The Essayist《散文家》。很诙谐文笔优美，建议一读，因为是他的散文集的序，所以豹豹搜到的要么是书，要么是文档。比较麻烦就不做电子笔记了。文中提到了散文以及散文家的特性，松散，坦诚，自我，无拘束。也提到了法国大名鼎鼎的蒙田。蒙田的书还真读过，对于他在蒙田随笔书中“我的书是写给自己和家友看的，你们爱看不看”无比服气。最近在读《论罗马、死亡、爱》。读书的事，开心就好。别拘着自己。
笔记上一张，所以学习真的是件苦差事。不下功夫学不到东西 --自我催眠陶醉一下。
E B怀特是谁？《夏洛特的网》《精灵鼠小弟》《吹小号的天鹅》的作者。 (他的散文有机会再看吧，反正也没多大兴趣。) 后续豹豹会挑后两本中的一本来读，第一本读过听过还看过电影所以就不读了。不过作者的有声书真的是一言难尽。

这一章开头略闷，后面还是很活泼的。

这里出现了seem这个词，其实豹豹对这个词一直晕晕乎乎的，有时候会见到seem 有时候是seem to ，语法是豹豹的弱项……于是专门找了找。
seem这个词既不属于行为动词，也不属于be动词，它是a state verb 状态动词，表示猜测，想法。没有seeming的这种形式，如果是seemingly则有一种正话反说的味道，是相反的意味。

这两句很可爱，配乐也好玩。in the doorway和at the doorway两种都见过，说是美式和英式的区别，但前者比较常见。
He had come downstairs to fetch his new housekeeper.
She said the Viennese ladies aren't very fashionable and she was telling us other such very interesting things when Mr. Beethoven said, "Please come upstairs."
fetch本身就有接人的意思。
