Lesson 7 Too late

The plane was late and detectives were waiting at the airport all morning. They were

1.1 、/ɜː/是单元音中元音,是个长元音，旧版英式音标符号[əː],美式英语对应的音标符号[ɝ]。

1.2、发音方法

现在来看看我们应该如何正确的发出/ɜː/这个音。

1）半张开嘴巴，双唇略扁平，向嘴角两边略拉开。

2）舌身平放，舌中部伸向硬颚，但不要接触到硬颚，舌部肌肉紧张。

3）震动声带，发出/ɜː/音。

注意：/ɜː/个长元音，这个音听起来和汉语的"饿"相似，要注意的是在美国英语中该音后常常加上一个r的音，类似北京方言的儿发音。

2.1 /ə/是单元音前元音，这个音标在英式音标中的符号是/ə/，美式英标符号[ə]。

2.2、发音方法

现在来看看我们应该如何正确的发出/ə/这个音。

1）嘴微微张开，嘴唇放松，舌身平放。

2）舌中部伸向硬颚，不要与之接触。

3）口部肌肉和舌头放松，震动声带，气流向外发出/ə/音。

注意：/ə/是中央、不圆唇、非重读元音。

练习感悟

今天读的时间相对比较长，念the、was、were、parcel这几个单词时总觉得发音有点困难，后面查了一下/ɜː/和/ə/的发音，也在文本中特意标记了这两个发音，再念起来顺畅多了。但是回听自己录音的时候，甚至可以听出The等单词的可以感，还需要好好练习和琢磨下怎么念出来才有一种自然的感觉。
