myc基因是较早发现的一组癌基因,包括C - myc,N -myc,L - myc ,分别定位于8号染色体,2号染色体和1号染色体。结构上由不编码蛋白质的第1外显子和编码蛋白质的第2、3外显子构成,与之同源的病毒癌基因存在于MC29及其它一些具有高度致癌性的猿逆转录病毒中。myc基因高水平表达时可转化啮齿类成纤维细胞。

Bernard Thienpont - Assistant Professor, Faculty of Medicine, KU Leuven Speaker Biography: My doctoral research was performed at the Center for Human Genetics (KULeuven) under the guidance of Prof. K Devriendt, where we detected cryptic chromosomal aberrations as a novel cause for idiopathic congenital heart defects using arrayCGH. Our studies also identified a new genetic syndrome (16p13.3 duplication syndrome) and a new gene (TAB2) responsible for cardiac defects. Next, I moved to the Babraham Institute in Cambridge (UK), where I worked with Profs. HL Roderick and W Reik to study the epigenetic causes of cardiac hypertrophy, aiming to understand how pathologically hypertrophied hearts re-express their fetal gene programme.

In this role, she is responsible for identifying and driving marketing projects related to the single cell markets. Her prior roles at 10x Genomics span strategic marketing and support. Annika has a background in biotechnology and engineering with a MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. In her thesis work Annika spent a year as a visiting researcher at the Stanford Genome Technology Center in Palo Alto, California working on functionalized nano-pipettes as biosensors under professor Nader Pourmand.

Pawel Zajac, Ph.D. - Segment Marketing Manager, Cell Biology, Illumina Speaker Biography: Pawel Zajac is the senior cell and molecular biology marketing manager in Europe, Middle East and Africa at Illumina. In this role, he is responsible for developing and executing the marketing plan for this segment. His prior roles at Illumina span several functions in sales and marketing. Pawel has a PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm and worked as a PostDoc at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. His research focused on method development in single-cell RNA sequencing and multiplex amplification. Pawel is the author of 10 peer-reviewed articles in journals including Nature Methods and Genome Biology.
