《小屁孩日记》双语阅读笔记1

《小屁孩日记》是一个美国中学生的日记，受儿子的影响，我也是《小屁孩日记》的成人铁粉啦。这套书故事情节富于想象力，幽默，虽然是一本儿童读物，但地道的英语表达是学习口语的好素材，读着英文，看着笑话，快乐阅读，快乐学习，启程吧！

The drive slammed on the brakes and he turned his truck around. Me and Rowley started running, but those guys were right on our heels.

卡车司机猛一刹车就掉头朝我们开过来了，我跟罗利撒腿就跑，那帮家伙紧跟其后。

The only place I could think of that was safe was Gramma’s house, so we cut through a couple backyards to get there. Gramma wasin bed already, but I knew she keeps a key under the mat on her front porch.

我唯一能想到的安全避难所就是奶奶家，我们横穿几个后院走捷径抢到了奶奶家。奶奶这会早就睡了，不过我知道她在门廊上的毯子下面会藏一把备用钥匙。

Once we got inside, I looked out the window to see if those guys had followed us, and sure enough, they did.I tried to trick them into leaving, but they wouldn’t budge.

一进去，我就透过窗子看他们有没有追过来。一点不错，他们追得很紧。我费尽心思想把他们骗走，不过他们就是一动不动。

After a while, we realized the teenagers were going to wait us out, so we decided we were just gonna have to spend the night at Gramma’s. That’s when we started getting cocky, making monkey noises at the teenagers and what not.

过了一会儿，我发现这帮小青年跟我们耗上了，非要把我们等出来不可。所以我们决定干脆就在奶奶家过夜 。这下就有恃无恐了。我们开始嚣张起来，学猴子乱叫，嘲弄他们。

Well, at least I was making monkey noises. Rowley was kind of making owl noises, but I guess it was the same genera idea.

好吧，至少我知道我是在学猴子叫。至少罗利在学什么叫，大概是学猫头鹰吧。反正我看也差不多。
