lesson 11 介词
1.表示地点的介词
I will be arriving at Beijing Airport.
at:某个具体位置点
I will be arriving in Beijing.
in:在某区域内
there is no one in the room.
what have you got in your hand?
when we were in Italy, we spent a few days in Venice.
who is that man standing at the bus stop?
Turn left at the traffic lights.
we have to get off the bus at the next stop.
please enter into the theatre one by one.
into:进入
move the books onto the second shelf.
the books are on the second shelf.
onto:到--之上；朝向
on：在--之上

over在--之上，相对垂直
above在--之上，高于平面

2.表示时间的介词
in+一段时间
表示过去：在一段时间之内，在--之内
表示将来：在一段时间之后，在--之后
I never smoke in my life.
I will return the book in 3 days.三天后还书
I finished reading this book in 4 weeks.四周内
I will finish reading this book in 4 weeks.四周后
on具体到某一天
the beijing olympic games started on August 8th,2008.
I never get up early on Sundays.
on在特定的某一天，具体的时间段
at具体到某个时间点

at the moment, they cover every inch of floor space.
at在某个具体时刻
after, since, from
I got a ticket after 10 hours.
after在--之后
I will send an email after 10.
since从--至今
I have lived here since 2010.
from--to--, 从--到--
Seats for the theatre can be booked from 10am to 6pm
before在--之前
make sure that you get here before 8.
until 直到--
you should be here before 8 and can not leave until 6.

by表示途径，方式

except: used before you mention the only thing or person about which a statement is not true.
besides: in addition to somebody/something.
we work every day except sunday.
we work on sundays besides saturday.
