Yong Jian and Bin Lian are now on the familiar roads near their home.

After hours of traveling, they have returned to the warm welcome of their family.

Like so many migrant workers, Yong Jian have sacrificed family life to bring them all for a better standard of living.

And as night falls, we join them around the dinner table for one of the oldest traditions on earth – the international icebreaker of hospitality – food and great company.

关于这一句，昨晚看《翻译硕士英语》/周琼,黄敏 /武汉大学出版社，第20页讲主谓搭配，才知道police是有生命的集体名词，谓语动词要用复数。 所以，应该是the local police provides provide an escort. 我说当时肯定没听错，却又感到有点奇怪呢~
