Nearly a week passed before the girl was ableto explain what had happened to her. One afternoon she set out from the coast in a small boat and was caught in a storm.

Towards evening, the boatstruckarockandthe girl jumped into the sea. Then she swam tothe shore after spending the whole night in the water.During that time she covered a distance of eight miles. Early next morning,she saw a light ahead. She knew she was near the shorebecausethe light washigh up on the cliffs. On arriving at the shore, the girl struggled up the cliff towards the light she had

seen.That was all she remembered. When she woke up a day later, shefound herself in hospital.

上齿轻触下嘴唇，发音和/f/口型基本相同。

气流从口腔通过唇齿间的缝隙，引起摩擦。

同时声带震动发出声音，送气力量较弱。

注意：/v/是个浊辅音，声带震动发声。要注意上齿与下唇的咬合，气流通过唇齿间，不要发成/w/的音。不要把love /lʌv/错发成lʌw/。只要发/v/养成咬唇的习惯，就可以发好该音。
