“suffice”是“sufficient”（足够的）的动词形式，是个不及物动词，可以使我们的表达更加简洁有力。当我们想表示“足够”或者“不足够”的时候，除了用 sufficient, enough 外，也要想到可以用动词 suffice 表示。

比如如果你刚刚开始跑步，先跑上 10 分钟，然后做些伸展运动就可以了：

For beginning runners, a 10-minute jog and a few stretches will suffice.

只读万卷书也是不够的，我们还要付诸于实践。这时就可以说：
