Early the next morning, Kyle got ready and his mom smilingly held the door open. The instant Kyle stepped out, Mum, out of concern, could not help asking, “How will you two meet since you have never seen each other?” “No worries,” Kyle turned back, gently comforting Mum before setting out. Not long after, he arrived at the park with his bike and baseball. Seated on the grassland, Kyle joyfully pictured the scene where he and Max riding and playing baseball together. However, with the passing of time, there was still no trace of Max turning up. Having waited for roughly two hours, Kyle was on the brink of quitting when a figure came into sight.

It was a girl that was pushing the bike and approaching him. “Are you Kyle? I’m Max.” Upon hearing the girl’s passionate greeting, Kyle was stunned into silence, his eyes widening. At that moment, he could not convince himself that the “Max” living downstairs turned out to be a girl. An air of embarrassment settled over them. “Thank you for your reply to my note, which marks the start of our friendship.” Max broke the silence, casting a smile at Kyle. Deeply moved by her sincerity and earnestness, Max offered to spend the day with her playing baseball and riding bikes in the park. In this way, their relationship was further consolidated.
