Step by Step installation of KVM / RHEVH 3.0 inside VMware Workstation 8.0

We require some additional setting to install KVM / RHEVH 3.0  inside VMware Workstation:

i) You can install KVM / RHEVH 3.0 in Physical system or Vmware Workstation 8.0 only.

ii) In this Lab we used the below component;

a) VMware Workstation 8.0

b) RHEVH 3.0 beta “rhevh-6.2-20111108.0″

 

PART 1: Configuring KVM / RHEVH 3.0 VM inside VMware workstation

Select LSI logic SAS, and click next

Select Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI
Note:- Intel-VT or AMD-VT should be enable on physical system, then you can ignore this warning.

Go to the Configuration file the VM and open in notepad

Under the last line of RHEV.vmx, add “apic.xapic.enable = FALSE”, and save the .vmx file
