1) Calling in sick=report that you will not go to work because you are sick
2) Quite ill=very sick (no difference)
3) Coming down=getting, acquiring(start to getting sick)
I don’t feel very well; I think I am coming down with the flu.
4) Sore(hurt)throat 喉咙痛 runny noise 流鼻涕 slightly (a little)feverish(you feel you have high temperature) 发烧的
5) Recover=get better, I am so busy this week, I need to recover this weekend.

B: Actually, I am feeling quite ill today.
A: I am sorry to hear that, what’s wrong?
