In the readme of the gem some suggestions are offered for installing
this. These also don't work, for instance:

1：red hat 9

gem install mysql -- --with-mysql-dir=/usr/local/mysql # dir= 安装路径

2：ubuntu

$ sudo apt-get install libmysqlclient15-dev    

   sudo gem install mysql
