New Appointment System:
From November 27th, 2017, an updated appointment system for Chinese visa is put into use. Applicants can make an appointment for the coming 30 days by choosing thelocationandtime.
Here are two situations for applicants to choose the location：
If the applicants have a guaranteed letter of their company, they should choose the immigration office which belongs to the same administration area as their company, or the Exit and Entry Administration Department of Public Security of Guangzhou to make the appointment.
If your company registered in Yuexiu, you are required to choose the immigration office in Yuexiu, or Exit and Entry Administration Department of Public Security of Guangzhou.
Example:
If the applicants apply for the Chinese visa by themselves, they should choose the immigration office which belongs to the same administration area as their residence, or the Exit and Entry Administration Department of Public Security of Guangzhou to make the appointment.
If you live in Tianhe, and get the Registration Form Of TemporaryResidenceFor Vistors from the police in Tianhe, you are required to choose the immigration office in Tianhe, or the Exit and Entry Administration Department of Public Security of Guangzhou.

After consulting from the Exit and Entry Administration Department of Public Security of Guangzhou, we know the following information:
If your visa is about to expire, please make an appointment earlier for an extension. If you go to renew the visa on the same day it expires, without making an appointment, there is no grace chance for such situation, the officer will not help.
Once the appointment has been successfully made, it can't be changed. So, don't be late for your appointment, the officer will skip your turn once you getting late. And we don't think you want to waste time to make a new one.
All appointments before November 27th have been canceled and new ones will start from today. It may cause a great workload for the appointment system. You don't have to over worry, it will be normal if there is a lag in making the appointment.
Go to the police to fill or renew the Registration Form Of Temporary Residence For Vistors as soon as you enter China, in case the immigration office fails to load your temporary residence information in their system.
