Setup a goal beyond the mission

Now I am preparing the visa for Germany, which entitles me and the family to a permenant German residence. I didn't think this 3 month ago, until I reached out an old friend for an opportunity. Meanwhile, my family has setteld in Sydney, with permanent residence. We are eligible for PR in both develooped countries. Nowadays AU has much stricter immigration policy than few years ago, while I often see quite a lot of cases that people are seeking for opportunities for immigrating to AU, which is really not easy at all. Owning 2 developed countries PR is not an reasy thing at all, and might be very precious in the eyes of someone who is striving for leaving China. 

However I have never thought to have those PR from 2 countrires, and even never thought to leave China one day. How have I got these? I just tried hard to do well in my business in Europe, and have got a good opportunity, and the PR of Germany is just a side-effect of the effort.

Now it makes me even clear in terms of goal setting. When you think about to reach something, if you just set itself as the target, then you might be very difficult in moving forward, because your eyes will always stare at the target only, very probably without looking forward, and your heart will always be thinking about how to achieve the target itself, definitely it will bring high level of stress. For example, if you think about to earn 1M AUD in next years, you will be too much focused on this money-earning target. Possibly you will think how to get higher salary and bonus, which is not a mistake, but if you are too much focused, it brings you extra stress which is unhealth and also will not help you to achieve the target. However, if you setup the goal beyond the mission, even forget about the money itself, for instance, to bring your business to another new level (i.e., to bring the good quality and cost-effective public cloud services to European customers), which will motivate you even much better, and you will be much more energized every day to strive for your vision, rather than being stressed by the money-earning target. And the most magic thing is, once you achieved your vision, you will find that you will have much higher salary and bonus than you have thought, and the money earning mission is just a side ahievement. 

Looking into a larger and further perspective, setup a goal beyond the mission. You will enjoy an enormous achievement.
