生命的年轮不停地旋转，似水流年的岁月把我带进了垂暮之年。
The annual rings of life keep spinning, and years like flowing water have brought me into advanced age.

我安静地在时光的隧道里漫游，思绪的闸门在夕阳的光辉里打开，感悟到了一些年轻时不曾领悟的道理。
I wander quietly in the tunnel of time, the floodgates of thoughts open in the light of the setting sun,and I come to realize something that I did not understand when I was young.
顿时，我感到全身轻松了许多，心里也感到一片坦然。
Suddenly, I feel a lot lighter all over and calm in my heart.
1）我们的一生有辉煌的时候，但那些辉煌很快会随风而去，成为过眼云烟，你不必一直对它沾沾自喜、念念不忘。
We have glorious moments in our lives, but those glories will soon go with the wind and become smoke and clouds. So you don't have to be complacent and obsessed with them all the time.

complacent [kəm'pleɪsənt] 沾沾自喜；obsess [əb'ses] 念念不忘。）
2）我们的一生有苦难的时候，但那些苦难是人生的必修课，是人生成长的阶梯，是宝贵的精神财富，你不能单纯地认为那是人生的不幸。
There is time of miseries in our lives, but those miseries are the required courses of life, the ladder of life growth, and the precious spiritual wealth. You cannot simply think that it is the misfortune of life.

spiritual ['spɪrɪtʃuəl] 精神的；
misfortune [mɪs'fɔːtʃən] 不幸，灾难。）
3）我们年轻的时候，总是对爱情充满不切实际的幻想，但人世间没有十全十美的爱情。即使爱情有缺憾，也应该用心去经营和珍惜，不要轻言分离。
When we are young, we are always full of unrealistic fantasies about love, but there is no perfect love in the world. Even if there are shortcomings in love, we should manage and cherish it wholeheartedly, and do not separate lightly.

重要的是，一生能有一个真心爱你的人一路上风雨无阻地陪伴着你，携手走到人生的尽头。
It's important to have someone who really loves you ,accompanying you to the end of your life in all weathers.

4）我们年轻的时候，总爱争强好胜，和人相处时缺少理解和宽容，甚至与人结下了不解的仇怨
When we are young, we always like to be competitive, lacking understanding and tolerance when getting along with others and even forge a long-running feud.
（competitive [kəm'petɪtɪv] 求胜心切的；tolerance ['tɒlərəns] 宽容，容忍；
forge [fɔːdʒ] 结下，形成；
feud [fjuːd] 长期不和，世仇。）
其实到了暮年回头一看，觉得很幼稚可笑。若是宽容友善地对待他人，又有什么仇怨解不开呢？
In fact, looking back in the old age, I feel very childish and ridiculous. What hatred can't be solved if we treat others kindly and tolerantly?

tolerantly ['tɒlərəntIi] 宽容地。）
5）我们年轻的时候，往往只注意事业，不爱惜身体。
When we are young, we often only care about our career and do not cherish our health.
（career [kə'rɪə] 事业；cherish ['tʃerɪʃ] 珍惜。）
其实，人的身体往往都是在年轻时搞坏的，人到老年疾病缠身，后悔也晚了。
Actually, health is often damaged when young. When we get sick in old age, it’s late to be regretful
6）我们年轻的时候，总觉得养儿防老，把希望寄托在儿女身上，到了老年才知道养老更多的是靠自己，靠与老伴相互关照、相依为命。
When young, we always feel that we should raise our children to guard against old age, pinning our hopes on our children. Only in old age do we realize that we depend more on ourselves and on the mutual care of the spouse.

7）我们大半辈子为事业、为家庭而忙碌，活得很累。
We are busy with career and family most of our lives ,living a very tired life.
到了老年，会突然发现，人生短暂，老天留给自己的时间不多了，要抓紧时间做自己喜欢的事情，要快快乐乐为自己活一回。
In old age we’ll suddenly find that life is short and God has not left much time for us. We should seize the time to do what we like and live happily for ourselves.
8）我们这代老人大多出身清贫，都有勤劳节俭的好习惯。
Most of the old people of our generation are born poor and have the good habit of being industrious and thrifty.
（generation [‚dʒenə'reɪʃən] 一代人；industrious [ɪn'dʌstriəs] 勤劳的；
thrifty ['θrɪfti] 节俭的。）
但人老了，要想开点，不要把金钱看得太重。
But when we get old, we should be open-minded and don't take money too seriously.
钱是身外之物，如果花钱能买到健康和快乐也值得。有条件要乐于助人。
Money is something outside the body, and it's worth it if we can buy health and happiness with money.If there are conditions ,we should be ready to help others.
9）人到了老年，与社会接触少了，我们会感到寂寞。
When we get to old age and have less contact with society, we will feel lonely.
（contact ['kɒntækt] 接触，联系。）
要学会在寂寞中生活，在漫长孤寂的黑夜里为自己点燃一盏希望之灯。
We should learn to live in loneliness and light a lamp of hope for ourselves in the long lonely night.
10）到了老年，会不可避免地想到死亡。
In old age, it is inevitable to think of death.
（inevitable [ɪ'nevɪtəbəl] 不可避免的。）
其实，生老病死是不可抗拒的自然规律，我们应当坦然面对。
In fact, birth, aging , illness and death are the irresistible laws of nature and we should face them calmly.
（irresistible [‚ɪrɪ'zɪstɪbəl] 无法抗拒的）
只要一生堂堂正正做人，问心无愧，就应该勇敢地接受死亡，微笑着闭上双眼，无遗憾地离开这个世界。
As long as we live an upright life with a clear conscience, we should bravely accept death, close our eyes with a smile, and leave the world without regret.

conscience ['kɒnʃəns] 良心，道德心。）
