喜欢时髦、追求时髦、拼命赶时髦，“时髦”这个词却说错，这样还能说自己时髦吗？！
记得在某个综艺节目看到过这样的对话：
× oh,baby,you're so fashion!
啊！知道这个错误怎么来的吗？中文不是会这样说吗？“喔，宝贝，你好fashion！”
其实，中文里的英文是归中文“管辖”的，但是：中文里的用法跟实际英文里的用法不一定一样。
中文里，fashion可以当形容词：“你穿得超级fashion！”英文里，fashion是名词，fashionable才是形容词。所以，应该说：
√ oh,baby,you're so fashionable!
这很简单，我们不妨看些例子吧：
Ask her what to buy. She knows everything about fashion.
(问她该买什么，她对时尚了如指掌。fashion是名词。）
These colorful smart phone covers are really in fashion.
(那些色彩缤纷的智能手机真是时髦。fashion是名词，in fashion是很常见的介词短语。
Oh, don't wear those shoes! They're so out of fashion!
(喔！不要穿那种鞋子！看起来很落伍。fashion是名词，out of fashion 是与 in fashion意思相反的名词短语。
Those shoes are so fashionable right now.
(那些鞋子现在正流行。fashionable是形容词。）
My dad is so unfashionable, but I still love him.
(我爸好土，但我依然爱他。unfashionable 是形容词。）
例外！fashion当形容词时
除了名词用法外，有时，我们也用fashion来当形容词，不过，它的意思是“时尚产业的”。
例如，你可以说：
I like to read fashion magazines.
(我喜欢看时尚杂志。）
不过，你也可以说：
I like to read fashionable magazines.
意思是，你喜欢很流行的杂志，不一定特指时尚产业。
例如，《商业周刊》来了新编辑，文章变得很精彩，大家疯狂购买，你就可以说：
Wow, Business Weekly is really a fashionable magazine.
不过，你还是不能说Business Weekly is really a fashion magazine，因为它不是专门针对时尚产业的杂志。
说中文撂英文，以为自己很“懐逊”，说错真的有够“逊”。形容一个人很时尚，应该说：fashionable。
同样的情形也适用fashion industry。当你说：
She works in the fashion industry.
这意思是说她是从事设计衣服、制作衣服、推销衣服等等的行业。至于fashionable industry，则表示是很热门或大家都想挤进去的行业，比方说，现在可能因为苹果产品，大家都想进智能手机公司工作，爱逛手机店，因此，你可以说：
Smartphones are really a fashionable industry.
总之，fashionable的意思是“流行”，fashion若当成形容词，意思是“时尚产业的”。
*若要说“时髦”，英文里的fashion是名词，fashionable才是形容词。
*例外：fashion若当形容词的时候，意思是“时尚产业的”。
好咯，鼓励你下次看到朋友穿戴时髦时，应该说，“哦，宝贝，你好fashionable！”让她吓一跳，证明你赶上了语言的流行，而她还有好一段路要追~
