Part 3: Summary

Amir’s heat stuttered at the thought of Soraya and he invented excuses to pass theTaheris’ stand to meet Soraya. However, until on a sweltering Sunday in 1985, Amir got the chance to speak with Soraya when his father was away. After that, only when Soraya’s father went for a stroll did Amir grasp the chance to have a small talk with her. Unfortunately, Baba was diagnosed with cancer and refused to receive treatment. As time went by, Baba’s health is becoming worse and fell down on the ground at the flea market. While Baba was in hospital, the Tahers came to visit him. Amir ached for Soraya’s company in times of sadness. Discharged from the hospital, Amir asked Baba to help him propose to Soraya. The general approved of their marriage. Baba and Soraya ‘s parents prepared a big wedding ceremony for them. Soraya dedicated herself to taking care of Baba. A month after the wedding, Baba passed away.

Part 4 随感

看书的时候时常会角色带入。父亲罹患癌症，又拒绝治疗的同时，Amir束手无策，能做的就只是陪在父亲的病床前。如果换做是我，我会怎么样？很少去想这样的事，是不敢去想，害怕去想。总觉得这样想自己的父母，是对他们的不尊重。心理会有愧疚，爸妈这么健康，你怎么可以这样想。就会心理狠狠骂自己，转移注意力。告诉自己，努力工作，努力挣钱，不让他们操心，多打电话多回家。
